How it works
SH volume = total batch × target concentration ÷ source concentration. Water = batch − SH − surfactant. Surfactant is included in the final batch and is assumed to contain no SH. The displayed ratio is all non-SH-source liquid to SH source, by volume.
At 12.5% source, a 10 US gal batch at 2% needs 1.6 gal SH and 8.4 gal water with no surfactant. With 0.1 gal compatible surfactant, water becomes 8.3 gal.

Frequently asked questions
Does this account for old SH?
No. SH degrades with age, heat and storage conditions. Use a verified current source concentration, not an assumed original strength.
Is the target concentration a treatment recommendation?
No. Choose concentrations only from the product label and applicable equipment instructions. This tool performs batch arithmetic, not surface-treatment selection.
Is batch strength the same as downstream outlet strength?
Not when an injector adds more water. Use this calculator for the pickup or batch concentration, then use a measured draw ratio in the Downstream Injector Calculator.
